« on: May 16, 2016 - 11:17:37 AM »
Hi,
I going to replace my 74 Challenger trunk floor extensions, I'm looking at AMD and Goodmark which do you recommend I use?
Thanks Brent

haven't heard of any issues from either from customers. We have used both.

In my 74 Challenger, I used the AMD ones that I got from Dave. They fit OK. Make sure you mount the rear valance and check the fit before you final weld them in, though. The only problem is that the rt one has the hole for the emissions tube they used in the early years. I'm just going to make a cover and screw it on in the supplied holes. Hope that helps.

I too am replacing my inner trunk extension on my driver's side. What would you suggest is the best and safest way to remove it without effecting a outer rear fender? Mine is only rusted on the bottom so I was thinking of just cutting about an inch above the rust where it is solid and trace the new one then attaching it.

Depends on how clean of a job you want and if you want to weld it in or use panel Bond ?? the wheel lip and bottom edge are your problem areas that will affect the Quarter panel.

I used either Goodmark or Sherman [same parts] from Rock Auto. Seemed fine, but I am not going for a 100% accurate resto either.

Was planning on using panel bond, since it will be out of site and also have under coating in it, appearance isn't of the biggest concern.
