Car Cover for my 2012 Challenger
« on: March 10, 2016 - 03:24:40 PM »
Hey all, FINALLY pulled the trigger and got a 2012 R/T in B5 Blue with 11K miles in the clock. Looking at getting a cover for it, will be mostly in the garage but may spend a little time outside. Last post I found was from 2011 so sorry if this is a repeat, hoping to get some updated feedback. There are sooo many out there, don't mind spending extra for quality. Thanks!

Cover king usually is pretty great. A little pricey

That's interesting.  Especially since they didn't have B5 blue in 2012.  Only 09/10 and then again starting in 2015.

Cal Cover is the best.

I will second that recommendation. California car covers are great, the problem is in trying to recommend a cover to you for your usage. I'll let you decide...

My 2012 stays outside year round, 73 in garage. First cover came with the car from Dodge. Not good and junk in few months. I then had a Covercraft Weathershield HP. Fits nice, light and easy to put on. It lasted 2 and a half years. The fabric ripped apart at a few places. I live on a hill and gets windy sometime. I now have the Weathershield HD. It is heavier material and so far still looks like new after a year.

If you just park outside once awhile, the HP is less expensive and it is a nice cover.

I like the factory Mopar cover.  Fits well, has a little bit of cushion to it (the old Evolution 3 material?)
