cuda brake drum color
« on: April 26, 2016 - 03:59:45 PM »
should the brake drums themselves on a 71 cuda be painted red on the face?
I feel like I've seen this somewhere, is that correct for all or only certain options.

Depends on what wheels your car came with from the factory. Even then it was a hit and miss type situation  :2cents:

I think Graveyardcarz says RED if the car is a Hi performance car with rallye wheels.

I've seen a few very red but my '73s were more of a burnt orange

found this pic from a '70  http://www.hotrod.com/how-to/paint-body/mopp-0107-tips-to-restoring-your-mopar/

googled colors & this looks familiar

Looks like burnt red. :roflsmiley:  Seriously, that is almost exactly the same color/appearance mine looked like before I touched them up with red engine paint.

The NOS ones look great to me!
