I know that at the factory the car body and components were pretty much painted when already assembled. Since most of us paint our components and body parts (ie fenders, doors, hood, etc) separate and then assembly the car/components what do you do about the bolts, nuts and fasteners? I paint them separate also, but after tightening with a socket/wrench the paint on them gets chipped/marred. What do the professional restoration shops do about this? Touch up with a paint brush or use special non-marring sockets or wrenches or...?
