New to the Mopar world.
Purchased a 70 V code Challenger and was wondering what to use as a assembly manual
Or restoration guide.
Thanks

For purely taking apart and putting the car back together the factory service manual is the best.  As far as what was the correct color on something, bolt type, etc. someone else will have to chime in on that.  In general this board is a good place to ask questions and get answers.

Welcome to the board!

Send it to Alan.....

There are several threads here with a lot of information on restorations, but whatever you do DO NOT watch Graveyard Carz.

My advice would be the factory service manual. There's a couple of published "restoration guides" but they are so inaccurate at times, they're not worth the money in my opinion :2cents:

Don't send it to me.... :money:
I've taught you everything you know.....but I haven't taught you everything I know !

Welcome. As a junior member, the best advice I can give u is use the Service Manual as advised and then fire off everything else to these guys. Trust me, this forum is the best bar none. A great resource and community.

Darcy

I have and continue to buy FSM for all of my vehicles, they can be a great source of information, however you have to remember that they were written for factory trained techs who were surrounded by other techs of varying degrees of experience, therefore any issue that want not understood could be clarified. My point is that the FSM isn't always clear and can require some interruption from time to time, that is where this forum comes in. I have been working on Mopars since I was 14 (41 years) and I still find a lot I don't know and have to resort to the FSM or this forum.

You might want to consider some of the manuals by MMC Detroit -

I used Service Manual, as many parts catalogs and web sites I could find and the most important source....this FORUM.

It took two years and a bucket load of patience and MONEY.  Good Luck.
