Well, after driving over 3 hours one direction, looking the car over, much debate, and actually shaking on a deal, dude tells me he doesn't have a title.

Here's the one I currently have. I was looking to replace it as it is way too far gone. I don't know what I was thinking. There's another car that came with this one. The body is in better shape but it is just a shell. No interior, no VIN, no anything...

I need to remind myself of the 75% rule. If you have to replace more than 75% of the sheetmetal, it's not worth it. Unless it's rare or sentimental... This car is neither

Buy this one  , I built it  all done turn key , you would pick up a lot on exhange  you could buy it for around 40K US right now & it will work out cheaper than fixing the one you are looking at !
I have taken apart every nut & bolt  the car is perfect & needs nothing , & it is fast

Beautiful car and well worth 40K IMO. You couldn't build one turn key for that.
