Parts value question
«
on:
June 04, 2016 - 09:22:40 AM »
Hey guys,
I'm detailing my engine and I'm replacing some of the stock parts. I was wondering if there was any value to the stock 340 valve covers, oil pan and timing cover? Thanks

Depends a LOT on year and condition.

They were on my 69 340 when I purchased it and they are in really good condition.

corret valve covers can be difficult to find & are definatly worth some $$ , the oil pan as well timing covers did vary but are usually easier to find

Post pictures of the valve covers... Oil pan & timing cover are the same as 318 so nothing special... Valve covers are unique & sit right on top so people will pay decent $$$ for them.... But often the 340 covers are gone & 318 covers have been used...

Get a better shot of the passenger side cover with the air cleaner removed.... In the photo above it looks like a 318 cover...

Sorry nothing special there, 318 valve covers & pan.... They'll bolt to a 340 but they aren't correct...
