Where can you get original *looking* tires?

I am in the same boat, always loved the looks of the Polyglas GTs but have no interest in a bias ply tire.  Have purchased the Goodyear Eagle GT II, thinking that would be as close in looks as I could get.  But have concerns the lettering appears larger?  Am considering whether to just turn the RWL inside and going with black sidewall.  But RWL just seems so appropriate for the old school look.  Any thoughts?

I wished they would make a repro radial of the Bias ply too.

Another one would be the yellow lettered ones. They look really good too.

Hey, i'll compromise - just recreate the lettering style of a Polyglas GT on a modern radial...

You can't find an exact copy of a bias ply because the tire's construction impacts the way the tread layout and design will appear. Most noticeable is the lack of a square shoulder on a radial that was very prominent on a bias ply. Additionallt bias ply tended to have very tightly interlocked tread to help reduce tread squirm, which a radial doe not require.

New info. Reviving an old thread. Coker now offers a Firestone Wide Oval RADIAL in FR60/15. I know most of our cars came with polyglas, but how about some thoughts on Wide Oval Radials instead of modern radials on an E body.

This may be what a lot of guys are looking for. It has the original RWL sidewall text print and interlocking tread design. You can even get them in Redline models. Drawbacks...the shoulders aren't as square as original and sizes are limited E, F, and G sizes in 14" and 15" diameters.
