Stock Stealth heads with Lunati 60302
« on: May 30, 2016 - 03:29:54 PM »
Thinking of going with a set of new Stealth heads for the 440 Six Pack build in the wife's R/T Challenger.

Going to be a mild build for street driven car.
Engine is an original 1968 440 freshened up re-using all stock bottom end parts...crank, rods, pistons, etc.
Rebuilt auto trans with very slight converter and 3.23 or 3.55 gear.

Cam is the Lunati 60302
I'm planning on using the stock rocker arms and pushrods.

I'm interested in the Stealth heads for a few reasons including the straight spark plug holes to aid in using the current Hooker Comp 1 7/8" headers.
Will have my engine builder check heads out, I'm not interested in doing any port work but I'm wondering if the Stealth's original Comp springs, locks and retainers will survive?

Thanks.

Well there should be spring pressure recommendations from Lunati or just call them . I would still swap to 10* locks & retainers at least .
