So I cant sleep and came out to the garage....I must just be tired but what am I missing...without the outer wheel bearing race it fits...with it in its not even close!!! I think I need to go to bed.....

Not sure, but is the inside bearings ( bearing closest to spindle) outer race seated in the rotor all the way?

no - it needs to be pressed in ---- it should be bottomed out in the hole. (Phrasing! Boom!)

x3..4, the races need knocked in. Do not use hardened steel on them, race drivers or brass punches.
