Any body else here have eye surgery
« on: June 04, 2016 - 12:46:03 PM »
I'd really like to hear any real life experience having a vitrectomy. Apparently that's what the surgery is called to repair a macular hole. The post op "face down" time period interests me the most. I've heard everything from 24 hours to 6 weeks. Some people on the internet even had to buy special furniture. I hope I'm not one of them. I have a consultation with the surgeon on June 13th so I guess I'll find out more then. Even if you have a friend or family member that's had this done I'd like to know how they managed.

Not a good spring for 60 year old Hungarians I guess.

Thanks
John

I haven't had that but I have suffered with eye problems for more than 5 years. Just get it done as fast as you can and don't worry about it.

I had cataract surgery for both eyes. 24 hour recovery and fantastic results. the upside, I'm back to driving like my teenaged self. The downside, everybody around aged 10 years overnight due to the number of visible wrinkles.

Good luck,

Rob
