How would you set up My holley?
« on: June 06, 2016 - 12:01:08 PM »
Hi - I've got to the point where i'm over my Edelbrock.    I'm looking for good throttle response for "slightly" spirited street driving / cruising.

I've got a 750 cfm Holley 3310 - vacuum secondary with electric choke kit installed.
What jet / nozzle / pump size would you suggest I start out with? :feedback:

I have a 383 mopar with the following mods -
Edelbrock Perfomer intake - single plane
Comp Cam 262x270  462 lift 470 exh (dur 050) w/ 110' LSA

Best to start with stock and go from there 72/76 jets. As for your power valve if you are running 13 to 14" of vacuum you can run a 6.5 Power valve. Most holleys come with a 6.5 stock but it looks like yours comes with a 10.5? As well it says you have a 780 not a 750 for that model number.

3310   780   (F)72,(R)76   10.5,8.5   4150

Have you pulled it apart?

I have only put the electric choke on it so far - haven't paid attention to the power valve / jets yet.

Guess you could slap it on there and see if she runs rich. You can literally smell it from the exhaust. As well, you can pull some plugs and see how rich it's running. If you want to go really crazy then bung your exhaust and get AFR which will tell you exactly what your air/fuel ratio is.

What vacuum are you getting from your motor?

Then the power valve should be a 6.5 then. The jets are probably close and are probably only off by 1 or 2. I'd leave the secondaries alone and just see what the primaries need to keep it from running rich.

I wrote a tuning guide in the archive work through that in order .
