saggy right rear
« on: June 03, 2016 - 04:57:13 PM »
hey guys, i finaly got my 70 cuda done last august and after i got done i noticed that the right rear of the car seemed lower than left side. so i just got it out to investigate and the right side is 1/2 inch lower than the left. everything appears to be tight and in one piece so im kinda puzzled. i replaced the leafs, and shackles durring my resto and the shocks. it has the oem springs on it from mancini racing and yes i have them on the correct sides. so im just wondering if y'all have any ideas for me to check

One of the more experienced guys can tell me if I'm wrong, but I'm fairly certain that the driver side is taller to account for driver weight?

On flat surface, measure the fender lip on each of the front fenders from floor through the centerline of the wheel to the lip, and also check TB adjuster screws to see if they are the same length sticking out of the adjuster nut... I'm thinking the passenger side front is higher, and throws the driver's back corner down a bit on the springs...

Put a turn into the driver's side torsion bar adjuster to turn it up a skosh. This will level the passenger side rear.

 :iagree:
The rear is much softer so the front T bar is too tight on the left side

well the front end measures the same on both sides. i measured from the ground to the fender on both sides and came up with 23.25 on both sides and the back measures 25.75 on the left and 25.25 on the right. so is messin with the t bars going to help?

t-bars effect the front and rear of the height of the car.

Adjusting one side of the torsion will load the wheel more than the other. We all suspect this is the case now. I suspect you will see more movement up and down in the rear than the front. As in you state front is level now. Adjust to load one side and would suspect you will not see much change in front but will in rear. The front has majority of weight and will remain fairly flat. As the 1 corner is loaded your front tire will also act as a cushion to keep front flat but the added downward wheel pressure will still change the rear.

Trust the comments...
If this doesn't fix as noted then you have bigger issues like a bent frame or an improperly replaced quarter or a combination of both.
