Looking for underhood insulation pictures

I am trying to determine how much the center of the pad recesses into the bulge of the hood. This picture is all I can come up with and does not give me much of an idea.

Does the pad fit tight on the "low" part of the hood and contour up into the bulge?

Just removed one from a 71 challenger. It wasn't molded like your picture, but did have the hole and was more like a flat piece of stiff insulation. The car had an R/T style hood and the insulation did not go up into the raised part. FWIW

That insulation looks exactly like mine.

When holding a straightedge on the lower part of the hood , the distance to the bottom of the insulation is 2'' , and that is without pushing absolutely tight to the bulge.
It does go into the bulge. It follows the hood contours well.
