V6 owners - anyone change spark plugs?
« on: May 12, 2016 - 09:33:49 AM »
My wife's (Oh10Challenger) Chally needs a little tune-up.  These are Coil-on-plug designs, so there's no wires, but I want to throw in some fresh plugs.  From the looks of it, the upper intake plenum needs to come off, so I already got that gasket.  I'm wondering if I can do it without removing the throttle body gasket - it looks like I could pivot the intake/throttlebody piece upwards and maybe hang it from the hood while I change those three plugs.

Anyone else ever do this that might know of any pitfalls/tricks/tips/unsuspecting parts that I might need to know/have?

Thanks!

Nope - nobody.  Lol!  Well, good thing I got it taken care of.  R&R was easy - EGR pipe in the back was a bit of a pain, but the tranny dipstick tube was the real bugger.  Still, got them out, got the PCV valve replaced, new intake gasket, and she runs great!
