I would say you need 3:91 gears in back, and
a bigger carb (well tuned 850 dp), and stall around 3500.
lightening up the car helps. ie shaved 40 lbs off each front wheel by removing Cragers, putting on Wilwood disc brake set, Weld Prostar wheels, and lightweight and skinnier front tires
timing curve in dist may be off. Getting a tune job on a chassie dyno would be valuable.
I run my MTs at 20 psi.
