Picture download frustrations!!!
« on: August 20, 2016 - 11:16:37 PM »
I know been like this forever, use the downsize app, link to some cloud thing etc..................................... What do we need to do to be able to downloads pics without hassle. I belong to many other forums as I am sure others here do as well. On ALL the other sites - I take pics with my phone, download to my computer and attach - no issues - DONE.

Over and over I try to contribute to threads with pics, ie my current Aeromotive Stealth 340 install. I always get the failed message - pics cannot be larger than 300 whatever bytes. I cannot be bothered to make attempt after attempt to downsize - so the pics stay with me.

Perhaps we can each chip in a buck or to upgrade the site to accept current tech without issues - anyway that's my rant.

Create a free Photobucket account and store all of your pictures there.  Click on the "IMG" code in the link next to the picture you want to post and it will automatically copy.  Paste the link into this message window where you type your responses. Done

We use Outlook Express for our email. I send the pic to email which allows me to resize it, choose small, then click Attach. Double click the attachment and save a copy to the desktop. Then attach it to your post.

One problem with allowing larger image uploads is you can end up with oversized pics

:iagree: i hate when i have to scroll just to see the entire pictures.  however, i have increased the size the forum will allow.  i feel like there has to be some reasonable upper limit, but lets try half a meg right now and see.  at that size you can still take plenty big enough photos.
