1971 Cuda 340 4spd shaker hood project
« on: October 23, 2016 - 03:12:01 PM »
This is a real 1971 Cuda coded for a 340 4spd and N96 shaker hood.  Original fender tag, build sheet and door VIN sticker still with car.  The car is currently in a storage unit and I do not have the time to restore it.  I work in a restoration shop and always working on customer cars.  Not only is this a N96 shaker hood car but it is a 4 speed and 3:91 8 3/4 rear end.  The car still retains it's original GF3 green paint.  The motor and transmission are not original to car but they are a VIN matched era correct 340 4spd(cast date on motor is 8-24-70).  VIN on Cowl, radiator support and dash all match.  As you can see in pictures, the car is not free of rust.  There is rust through front inner fenders, lower quarters, trunk drops, trunk pan and small areas on floor pans.  Frame rails, rockers, roof, cowl, and doors are solid.  Fenders are solid, but have some dents and bent edges.  I am also including  both NOS inner fenders, NOS front valance, and two used rear valances with dual exhaust cutouts.  I do not have the shaker hood components, but a solid original sport hood will go with the car. Has minor damage on right rear quarter, but will need new quarters to repair rust anyway. Majority of interior is intact.  Some one replaced the leather front seats with vinyl  and swapped interior door panels without the wood grain inserts, but rear panels still have inserts(Leather seat option also came with the gran coupe style interior panels).

Exactly where is the shaker and hood? For 29.5k you would be heavily upside down on this one.

But I'm sure Alan would do a spectacular job!!!

 :iagree:

I really like this one and all the cool options.  :droolingbounce:

However, it will only be worth $60,000 to $75,000 when totally done right, and it going to take at least that much to get it to that point. :walkaway:

It really does deserves to be done right.  :2thumbs:

Yea...You'd want to start around $18K-$20K....If it had all the original shaker components is usable condition, then I could start to understand his asking price :2cents:
