First show for Jimynick's Challenger
« on: July 31, 2016 - 05:22:20 PM »
Well, this weekend was the first showing for Ian's 74 Challenger. He has worked feverishly for the past several weeks to get it on the road for the Walkerton, ON old boys reunion (Ian is highly qualified to attend  :poopoke: ) The car is in primer, has had no work done on the motor which hadn't run in 30 some years and is rolling on wheels borrowed from Brad.  to Brad! But with the help of his boys he got it roadworthy in time for this weekend. Good job Ian.

In search of the eternal buzz!

Looking sweet.  Warn the kids & neighbors because another Challenger is on the loose.

Congrats on the success. Good luck getting any more work done until the winter, you've probably been bitten by the cruising bug.

Congrats Ian.

Sure has come a long way since I first saw the old girl earlier this year.

Gee, I didn't even know Murray'd set this up until a day or so ago! Thank you to all and sundry for your kind and encouraging comments. I know that it's no '71 Hemi car, but a line I believe may have been by Shakespeare comes to mind= " an ill-favoured thing, but mine own". It sure was nice to roll into my buddie's camp sites with it. The look on their eyes said it all- "Damn, he really WASN'T $h***ing us!" LOL.  As mentioned, there was no way I'd've EVER made it without the help of both my sons and folks like Brad and Murray. Hopefully, I get to put some miles on 'er and come the winter, pull it down and do it right for paint. And Alan, once I get more confidence in the old gal, I'll bring it down and take you to that pizza joint you like, for pizza on me; it's the least I could do for all your gracious help. Strange also to think that it was on the rotisserie until at least July 7th  :22yikes:
