Did I make a mistake?

I had to remove the OEM oil filter adapter when I installed my headers and then installed an adapter plate. When I was doing a oil change I noticed on the plate it only had 4 passages (holes). The oil filter has 6 holes. I  drilled 4 holes in the plate for more oil flow. Was this a mistake?

Nope... Small block oiling 101... Standard mod... Just do a good job cleaning & deburring...
