Stupid fuel line question
« on: August 29, 2016 - 01:02:39 PM »
Engine and fuel lines were out of car when I bought it.  1970 Cuda 440 with Carter high pressure fuel pump.  I ran new fuel supply lines and vapor return lines from the new gas tank to the engine compartment.  The new fuel supply line and vapor return line lie flat against the passenger inside frame rail.  How do I connect them to the fuel pump/vapor separator;  rubber fuel line or is there a metal fuel lines between the two?  I've checked the service manual and done numerous google and forum searches but can't find the answer.   All sorts of posts re connections between the fuel pump and carb and running the lines from the gas tank forward, and the need for a vapor return line,  but nothing on connecting them to the fuel pump/vapor return line.  I'd just connect them with a rubber gas line but I'm concerned about vapor lock if there is supposed to be a metal gas line between them.   :feedback:

Rubber lines run between the hard main/return line and the pump/vapor separator and to the carb line, assuming you are going all stock.

Thank you drazz.  That's what I thought but I wanted to make sure.  Thanks for verifying that.  It's much appreciated.  :2thumbs:
