8 3/4" Axle Preload
« on: August 30, 2016 - 09:05:50 PM »
Due to some noise in the rear of the car, I decided to check the axle preload. I found the preload at .016"-.021" while rotating the passenger axle and checking it in three places. I reset it to .006"-.009" while rotating the axle in three places.  I assume that this will loosen up a tad over the next couple of drives, so I plan on checking it again.

Note: My FSM shows .008"-.018" and I have read posts showing that people think that is too loose. Some say .005"-.010", so that is what I aimed as a range.

Before I test drive it, I am curious what you guys run.
 Thanks
