Yeah well I doubt the car will be for sale before I pass away so to me it is not a huge deal either , it was never for sale or about the $$ I just love the car so why sell it , I have been offered silly $$ for it in the past & laughed at them

SHort story but I bought a U code Challenger when I was 17 , drove it for 2 years & a guy cam by every week offering increasing $$ for the Chall m when it got to 3x what I had paid I sold it & it broke my heart watching it drive away , no $$ was worth it to me I realized so I spent the next 6 months looking for the car I have now which I bought when I was 19 , I have never forgotten the feeling watching that car drive away , never again for any $$

I totally know what you're saying. I had a little 69 Rambler that I sold years ago and have always regretted it. Once they're gone, unless you're extremely lucky, you'll never get them back. You can always get money.

69 Rambler. Had one! Vacuum actuated wipers were not fun. No regrets here.

LOL...vacuum wipers and the manual washer squirter pump on the floor. Mine was a 4 door 199cu and 3 on the tree.

Yes....Tarquini continues to post and sell parts on the Yenko site under the name of XXXBlackLs6M22. The Yenko site is also a very good site....just like this one but it is open to all makes. The sad thing about buying Tarquini's yellow Challenger is that I had another car on the line at that time....but I purchased his because he seemed like "such a nice guy". Live and learn. The car I wish I should have purchased was a 74 AMC AMX with 1,400 original miles....all original. So a message to all....never trust a guy that you talk to on the phone just because he's a "nice guy". They sometimes turn out to be the biggest crooks. If anyone has the slightest doubts about my saga or the condition of the Challenger when I got it....well another member on this site and now a friend of mine AARTA340 drove out to see the yellow Challenger for himself shortly after I got it from Tarquini. I'm sure he will attest to everything that I have now said and everything in the original post if asked.

I have been looking at a few Javelins myself on Craigslist though none with 1400 original miles! Very nice!

That's AMC for you. That was my very first car so it's close to my heart. I was 18, lived in Chicago then, and spent a lot of time at the drive-ins with girl friends back then. Maybe that's why I remember that car more than most.

From what I was told from the seller, it was an exceptional AMX. It was part of the well known Green Collection and the seller purchased it at auction. The auction with that 74 AMX going through is actually on the internet. I could have had that car for $35k. The thing about it was that the guy lived near Atlanta and I would have gone to see it first....not like the Tarquini Challenger which was in Canada. Woulda-Coulda-Shoulda

Yep I also was 18 and the drive is were killer because you always had to start the car when things "fogged" up.
