    window Motor Question

    Hey guys,

    I purchased new window motors for my 71 challenger.  The part numbers are:

    ACI 86561
    ACI 86560

    They say they are a direct fit which they don't seem to be or I'm missing something.  The original motor screwed into the regulator from both sides of the regulator which was very secure.  6 bolts in total.  The new motor has aluminum sleeves on one side and you screw your existing screws into the sleeves making the threads.  Not very strong.  The other side is open with nothing.  I feel like drilling the sleeves out on the one side and then installing a nut and bolt through both sides.  The orientation of the motor is different as well. It doesn't even have the alignment pin on the gear.

    Every source I look at say this is the correct motor.  Does anyone have any incite into my dilemma?

    Is this a replacement motor for factory power windows or an aftermarket setup. The picture you have looks very similar to the motor and gearbox For my 01' suburban.

    The deal is 99% of all Mopar power window motor interchange, there's RH & LH versions but beyond that they interchange.... Then there is the E body front motors, they are virtually the same but the mounting holes are tapped all the way through & the regulator bolts to both sides......

    As you said, just run bolts & nuts through the holes & it'll work...

    Thanks it never goes as planned.  I thought something simple now is going to take me another night and a trip to the store to get some hardware.  I wish it was a direct fit.  I did see another unit with the alignment pin on the gear not sure why they would put them on these.  Thanks

    Yellow this is a replacement.  I already had the power windows.

                     While your working on the power windows you might consider getting a relay kit from member crackedback.
