QUICK ---- A/C Control cable
« on: September 05, 2016 - 10:34:15 PM »
On an E Body where does the A/C heater control cable exit the firewall. I'm asking about the single cable that goes to the water control valve mounted on the passenger side inner apron.

I need the FACTORY exit location.....

Not as clear as i had hoped it would be, but I am sure you can see where it comes through the firewall right next to and below the blower motor. You can see the cable pointed up, as I was installing a NOS water valve and new "mopar" heater hoses. It is tucked behind the automatic trans dip stick. There is a rubber grommet that the cable passes through and attaches to the firewall. This car is a true survivor with almost all OEM stuff and never apart or molested. Best I have with me. Hope this helps.

I saved this picture, but I don't know how accurate it is.

I agree with the photo AARTA340 posted..... Except that routing is only useable if you have a true 70 control cable... The new cable supplied by vendors is for 71 & newer it is about 3" short & won't reach.... The routing changed to going through the insulation retainer nail hole near the fuse box....
