Tom Condran Brake Up Grade
« on: September 05, 2016 - 02:05:04 PM »
Ok, I have changed my front drum brakes to Discs brakes on my 1970 Barracuda. I used Performance Handling For Classic Mopars by Tom Condran as my source. I had all the parts on the garage shelf for the past 14 years and I just got around to it last weekend. ( i know, I am a Procrastinator ).  My question is for those of you have done this up grade, where do I get these clips ( see picture, ) for the pin type caliper? Also where do I get the brake hose and fittings for the caliper? Thanks all,

Who or what is a Tom Condran disc brake up grade?
Looks like the Mopar Action upgrade using factory parts?

So is it different/better than this, which came out in the 80's?

In the early to mid Nineties, Mopar had a front disc brake kit that eliminated the anti rattle clips and bar.

The screw in bolts went right to the end and there wasn't a need anymore for the wire bar.
These screw in bolts were shorter than the  originals.

The one requirement was that the disc brake pads had a separation line half way thru.
