Serpentine belt system

Has anyone ever tried to put a serpentine belt system from a LA Magnum motor onto a early 340? It appears as though it should work, but then again it probably won't. Thanks

a crate magnum uses a LA cover, so a magnum should fit an LA, no place for a mechanical fuel pump though. I have a magnum with a van serpentine drive in my challenger, fits fine
