70 Cuda tailight bezels
« on: September 17, 2016 - 11:39:06 PM »
installed my tailights yesterday and noticed there were 4 dimples on the outside surface where all the towers are located on the inside for the studs. Is this normal,or should the body shop have used a filler and worked those pieces flush all the way around? They also lost the details on the parking light openings on the front fenders,so I'm going to have to shave the back side of the light surrounds thinner so they fit flush on the body  :pullinghair:

if the nuts are over tightened it will make a dimple in the diecast trim so the trim was damaged by overtightening & should have been filled prior to painting if the damage was not done a it was installed

Thank you guys for the reply,I guess I need to pull them and take them back down to metal, fill the damaged areas and respray the bezels.Hard part will be matching the taillight panel exactly.I have notes on the flattening agent I used, but never seems to come out quite exactly the same.
