71 Challenger - Body Bumper kit
« on: October 17, 2009 - 04:25:45 PM »
Purchased a body bumper kit for my 71 Challenger.
The kit contained:
(4) "taller" rubber bumpers w/ part no. 2784714
(2) "shorter" rubber bumpers w/ part no. 3443645
See attached pic.
I'm trying to determine the locations for these bumpers.
I believe the (4) "taller" 2784714 bumpers are used on the rear, outside corners of the hood and trunk lid.  Is this correct?
I'm not sure where the "shorter" 3443645 bumpers should be used.

Can anyone provide some guidance on the locations for these bumpers?

Thanks.
Rich

Thanks FY1
You confirmed my suspicions regarding the 2784714 bumper locations.
Any idea on the "shorter" 3443645 bumper locations?
They are the same diameter as the 2784714 bumpers ... just slightly shorter.
Thanks.

The only place I see a listing for those is under 71 Plymouth B Body.

Thanks again FY1.
Sounds like I don't need the 3443645 bumpers.
May have been included in the kit by mistake.

Rubber bumpers for the glovebox door are included in the body bumper kit.  That is probably where they go.

Sorry for resurrecting this 3.5 year old post, but I was hoping that someone might have the photo(s) specifically for where the hood bumpers go (two #2784714, one 2900266).  Don't know if '71 is different than '70, or if Rallye/Power Bulge vs. Shaker/Flat makes a difference.  Thanks.

Ah this thread has the info I'm looking for!  Also does the tall round bumper ( .875" diameter and about .730" tall) with a part number 30135066 go at the rear center of the hood?  Same deal where I bought a bumper kit and there were almost none on my car to match up.

My car is a 73 Barracuda if that matters

Thanks y'all!
