    Hi team,


    I have an Aeromotive intank fuel pump (see pics). My tank has the factory sending unit with return/pick up still. My intank pump kit has pickup, vent, return.

    Question: what is the best way to deal with the oem return/pickup? Does anyone make an E-Body fuel sending unit WITHOUT the return/pickup? “Plugging off the lines” seems a bit redneck and not ideal?

    Also: what should I do with the 4-hose vent breather system. Does the intanks pump “vent” do the same job and if so, do I just plug all 4 hose vents or, I’m thinking, I just reconnect the 4-hoses to the trunk vapour and return it back to factory?

    Any help is appreciated. I just want it safe, solid, clean and minimal (not two things doing the same job).

    Were it mine, I think I'd hook up the 4 vent tubes a la oem. As for the stock pickup, unless you're going to cut out and patch the current hole in the tank, you're pretty much stuck with having something to fill that hole and again, unless you're prepared to make a replacement for it, I'd cut the tubes back and weld covers over them or take the tubes right out of the cover and weld/solder small plates from the inside to cover. Look at it as a chance to let your creativity go wild.  :cheers:

    Thanks Jimmy! I agree with the 4-hoses. Just need to find out where each of the 4 go.

    With the sending unit, I “could cap it” but I can’t remove it, it reads my fuel level (float, etc). I was hoping someone made an E-Body sending unit like the one below?

    You're welcome, and the four hoses go up to a four nippled little tank that bolts to the rear shock crossmember. They were notorious for rotting and can be a wee bit hard to find, but they're out there. Good luck and for the fuel lines I think I'd go with the tubing caps. McMaster-Carr has a large selection.  :thumbsup:

    Thanks Jim! I just found the diagram attached. My Hemi was built with a single breather hose on the drivers side head cover going to the intake base and on the passenger side, it just has an air filter (see pic below). My car was originally a 440.

    Not sure what to do with the other vapor fuel hose that original went to the head cover cap. I’m guessing I should get a cap with a single hose outlet and reconnect it? I just don’t like to touch an engine that was purpose / custom built that way for a reason is all. Hmmm.

    LOL! Yeah, we can see both your comments AND photos, but Mike's question comes from the fact that we haven't- seemingly- been able to upload photos here for ages. I was pleased as punch to see yours and maybe there's been a resolution. By the way, that's a gorgeous looking engine and engine bay you've got there. I'm jealous as hell.  :thumbsup:
