Transmission fill tube
« on: October 16, 2016 - 10:09:18 AM »
My fill tube seems to be leaking fluid when I'm facing downhill. I have done replaced the o-ring and it continues to leak. Any fixes?

Yeah, but the end of the tube is completely different for the seal to fit......

Okay, thanks. Is there anywhere else on the passenger side that it could leak from?

Yes, the pan gasket is common, but also fluid often leaks at the rear band anchor pin & follows the pan gasket around & drips off the front corner of the pan.... Brake clean & close inspection is your best course... But the fact it leaks more when parked at an angle (I'm assuming nose down?) points to the dipstick tub.... Which BTW is a very common leak...

I had same problem. I pulled out the tube, made sure I got everything nice and dry and used rtv sealant around it and it worked great. No leaks and only cost a few bucks.

I just went through this. I used a new o ring and sealed the tube and ring  with Permatex ultra grey pn:82194. It's the best stuff I found so far.
