Now here is something unusual: I was always under the impression that a Rally Instrument equipped car always had a color matching steering column with the interior.  Here we have an A62 coded car, with a P6B5 (Blue) interior, and a TX9 (Black) steering column.

My car had a beige and green interior originally with a black column.

Topcat,
And it was coded to have the Rally instrument cluster (A62)?
Was your interior code P6Y3?

Yes it was.

And I'm still kicking my a## for trading them for other parts many years ago.

From what I have seen, 1970 Rallye gauges with colored interior = colored matching steering column.  If it was a colored interior on a standard dash, then a black column with only a colored spoke cover.

1971 colored interiors (Rallye and Standard) = black column.
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.
