Heater question again

This did not get answered in an earlier thread, which is the inlet to the heater, the small hose or the large one. 70 Challenger 440

makes sense, gonna have hotter expanded fluid in it.
72 Cuda, owned 25 years. 496, with ported Stage VI heads, .625 in solid roller, 254/258 at .050, 3500 stall, 3.91 rear. 850 Holley DP, Reverse manual valve body.

1999 Trans Am, LS1, heads, cam, headers, stall, etc! Love to surprise the rice rockets with this one. They seem so confident, then it's "what the heck just happened?"

Pulled this from the internet. If you look closely you can see arrows in the hoses depicting flow.

Thanks 70chall Looks like the small one is the inlet to the heater and the large one is the return.  Update on the rad flush for the heater core. While I am getting some flow through the core it isn't enough. I tried back flushing, recirculating with the rad flush and a sump pump and compressed air. I gave up and ordered a new heater core. Should have done that to start with.

I went through the same thing to a degree at one point and it took me awhile to see which one was which, that is why I posted the drawing.

New heater core is the way to fly for sure.
