Look to the left there are 39 images. The car looks very solid. Black top and bottom with black leather interior, 4 speed!
The only thing I would add is disc brakes.
This would be a great Cuda to refinish. I would not OE it, just make it a nice clean driver.
The way it sits I could see it drawing $25-30K assuming all numbers are there and it truly is rust-free.

trust me... this car has zero rot.   I stripped the car and started it when I purchased it at 17.   It was faded and the lacquer was spidering a little.  I got the shell done and all the panels except for one fender, the decklid, and the rear pan done. Then pulled it from the shop where I was working.  There all the filth you see is 20 yrs of dust laying on it.  I literally pushed it out of the shop, dusted it with a towel and air hose.... threw it on the lift and took the pics.  all the undercoat is rolling off it and I need to make a move on it. that's why I am trying to catch up a little on the market.  It is totally numbers matching.  I know the stock rocker covers are not there, but I have them.  I have 2 other 340 s in the garage, but the one in it is what came in it.

I fully agree, put it back together and drive it.
Usually they are restored and never driven or broken down rusted out shi*boxes requiring more money to restore than their worth. There are very few solid driver cars out there.

The car is a black, 4 speed, 340 Cuda with rallye gauges and leather interior, it's rustfree with all it's original parts. That's a super easy car to do a concours resto on. Why on earth would you make a second rate driver out of it? That's what you do with a car you have to piece and weld together and there's lots of them out there. JMO.

I definitely will not throw it together to be an everyday driver.  Don't take that as " I will never drive it".  I want it to be right.

The restorations I do are perfect for a car like that. I do them "OE" style, but nowhere near OE Gold...They look the part, but there's no bare metal, everything is painted in the proper colours and easy to clean. The cars I do are very driveable and don't look like some hacked together back yard resto

That's the least this car deserves

It's so nice to hear of a long term owner that actually stored a neat car correctly and IS going to restore it. I love it!

absolutely amazing in it's current condition. you just don't find em like that anymore. I'm happy to see it still looks stellar after 20 years of sitting and waiting, but that is also what probably helped preserve it better. this one would be a perfect full resto with minimal cost involved (relatively speaking) and maximum retained value at the end of it all.

 I do not believe a 340 anything deserves the NOS everything to properly OE a car. Leave those parts for the people and cars that make it necessary. Likewise the finishes and lack of some make a true OE car pretty useless as they deteriate no matter what you do to try and prevent it.
It sounds like this owner can do a good portion of the work and he could save a ton on the labor.

I just would not spend $40-50 K on this car.

Hey, I used a ton of OE parts on my 340 T/A restoration and I think it deserved it!   
But cool story, I've had my T/A since I was 16 and it has took a long time for me to accomplish my restoration.  But you can't put a price on the cool nostalgia of owning a car you've had since you were a teen!
