Door window adjustment
« on: November 13, 2016 - 06:18:27 PM »
On my 73 challenger I notice there is a gap between the window glass on the door and the rubber seal on the rear glass. The top and front of the glass seem to fit tight against the rubber seal on the body. Also the door is difficult to close. I noticed that the door gap isn't aligned. The edge of the door is not flush with the body. It sticks out about a quarter of an inch. Is this a door alignment problem or do I need to adjust the glass. I had the glass out to repair the rollers on the window regulator. I wasn't sure if the glass could be adjusted. Thanks

Is the door gap correct when the door is closed with the window rolled down ?

Let me check. If it is, where do I go from there?

While re-aligning mine, I found that I needed to loosen EVERYTHING and slowly tighten everything back up. If you only move what you think is needed, it will never work.
