Resto-mod engine questions

Hello Everyone, i've been planning for quite some time to do a modern hemi engine in my factory slant 6 70 challenger

I see a lot of guys running a 5.7 or 6.1 but was curious if the 6.4 is now a good options?  I know when the 6.4's came out they were very hard/impossible to tune so my question to those who have done it, which engine would you recommend.

Also is a gas pedal recommended to be included with the moder engine purchases?  I've  found a few sellers willing to include one at an extra cost.

They would include:
Engine
ECM
Wire harness
and pedals

Thinking about swapping to a 6.4 too and everyone I have talked to said the MP plug and play makes it very easy, depending on what tranny you are running. But this appears to be the easy part. I will be starting a thread shortly that you can follow because this swap is getting a lot more expensive than I thought because of everything you need to change. Stay tuned.

What transmission do you plan to use? If you're going manual or old auto, Mopar I believe has a plug and play for the 6.4L. If you're going newer auto, Hotwire Auto can do a harness and let you know what parts you'll need from the donor vehicle. Within reason, I would get everything you can from the donor vehicle including the gas pedal, transmission shifter(if auto), and any and all computers. As to which engine to use, that's up to you and what you can afford. The 5.7L would be the cheapest way to go as it was used in more vehicles and can be a little older. I'm using a 6.1L as I found a good deal on it. As daryld stated in his thread, things add up quickly.
