Cuda taillight panel install and placement with floor

I'm having difficulty aligning the quarters, taillight panel and the corner filler pieces,  Does anyone have any pictures or can confirm that the taillight panel of a 1973 Barracuda is installed on the INSIDE of the trunk pan lip?  It seems strange that a seam would exist on the outside of the panel that could capture water and leak into the trunk but that is what I have seen to date.

Don't know about a 73.  Attached are some pics I snagged off the net of a 1-piece trunk floor being installed in a 70 and the trunk pan lip is on the outside of the tail panel.

Perfect.  Thanks.  I did that as well but am struggling with the corner pieces.
