1970 Challenger door panel inserts
« on: November 16, 2016 - 04:58:45 PM »
Whats the best way of attaching the metal tri star emblem back on the door panel inserts after I replace the vinyl.  I was thinking of using 5 minute epoxy on the back.

I just took some clear silicone and applied a very small amount to each pin with a toothpick.  I only had one small area where some squeezed out.  You wouldn't have seen it if you weren't looking for it.  Once it was completely dry, I removed that little piece of silicone with a new razor blade.

I used epoxy on mine after recovering it with a carbon fiber decal.

I used some JB Weld when I redid mine.

Thanks everyone,I'll probably use both epoxy  on the rear and silicon on the front.

I put the silicone on the pins before pushing them through the holes.

I used a drop of crazy glue on the back of each pin. Just about any adhesive will work.
