Throttle linkage for 4150 type carbs? What are you using?
« on: November 04, 2016 - 05:07:50 PM »
For you 4150 carb type guys: Please show your throttle cable linkage at both the carb and how you have mounted your throttle cable.

I need some serious examples on how to set up OEM type throttle cable to a 4150 style carb:  (I have a manual 4 speed)

Cheapy stuff from Summit Racing
72 Cuda, owned 25 years. 496, with ported Stage VI heads, .625 in solid roller, 254/258 at .050, 3500 stall, 3.91 rear. 850 Holley DP, Reverse manual valve body.

1999 Trans Am, LS1, heads, cam, headers, stall, etc! Love to surprise the rice rockets with this one. They seem so confident, then it's "what the heck just happened?"

I've used this throttle cable bracket for many years on a few different 440 engines and intakes with Holley double pumper carbs.
I don't have a clue where I got it or if it's a factory part or not.

Obviously it is used with a 4 speed but it is very simple and sturdy.
It uses the factory throttle cable and mounts very low to clear drop base air cleaners.

I have this one on my 440 with a holley 850 carb and holley sd intake. Think it's made by AR Engineering? Works well
