UPDATE: Nov. 22nd 2016: Painting the Organosol for a friend on his AAR and did another spray out test without any of the Flattener (DX685) added.  It comes out darker then the mix I show in the video.  But it is glossier too.  He likes it better then the mix I have listed.

It's worth your time to do 2 sprays out and see what one you like. Also, take in to consideration what side stripe you are going to use.  It looks best when the sheen matches.

If you get any blotching, try speeding up your dust circles and or spray from further back.  Laying down less material (by speeding up your how fast you paint) will solve blotching with this technique, but not enough paint and you'll loose some of the blackness.

Hope that helps.  Good luck.

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Great advice, Loved the videos, I was wondering how to spray the organisol, I do most of my own painting so this will be something new to learn.  :2thumbs:

Cody, that is awesome. The videos are great! Question-how do you paint the underside (between scoop and hood- narrow slot) and inlet of the TA scoop with your technique? Are you doing the same bullet at 4 feet and just spraying up onto these more delicate areas?

Thanks-Wes

When putting the epoxy on the TA hood I taped off the rest of the hood except under and inside the scoop.  That way I could get a bunch of black epoxy in and under it without getting a build up and or runs on the hood.  Then remove the tape and epoxy the hood like normal so it all blends and looks solid black.  Then the you can shot the hood with Organosol and do your best to spray in those areas and it will blend in to the black area and look good.  Sometimes I will hold a piece of paper as I shot to make sure I can get some organosol in there and not get any heavy spots.  There's no perfect easy way to paint in tiny areas like the scoop.
