70 Challenger 6cyl, 3spd, red/red, VERY low option 'survivor'...
« on: November 30, 2016 - 08:55:54 AM »

Ugh... this [censored] hurts, but here goes...

1970 Challenger, 225, 3-speed (stick), red on red. As basic and simple as they came, with only wheel well chrome, (base) AM radio and bucket seats for options. All original paint and metal, dead-straight, never been bagged on, never been hit, never been apart, never been messed with, panels all line up beautifully and doors close really nice. The patina is wicked. The bumpers are straight and even the valences have more or less survived in shape. Car is still together and the pics are recent. I cant think ov a more perfect starting point... and its a STICK.

The car could theoretically run and drive with a new gas tank and sender, i drove it a few years ago. The trunk is gone, and it needs PATCHES in the floors (NOT full floors! lots ov good original metal left), some rust repair on the firewall above the heater and in the lower window channels. Otherwise ALL the typical E-body rust is absent on this car.

Car comes with a truck-load ov parts (nice 8 3/4" housing and axles, original flip-top cap, T/A stripes, T/A spoiler (new), bare V8 K-member and big block mounts, re-arched leafs (stiff), Pistol grip handle, 15x8" steelies and stainless redline caps (w spares), extra rear bumper, misc interior parts, plus all the other assorted Mopar stuff i've accrued over the decades.

The car is 100% original and 99% complete, only missing original air cleaner, red gas cap and original 14" wheels (still have the full caps though). I did hack the tank out because it was rotten top to bottom and reeking the interior out. Even the straps survived.

I need 12.5K (Cdn) out ov this, FIRM. Car is in Lower Mainland BC ('bout an hour East ov Vancouver and literally 20 minutes from the Washington border).

EDIT: Will sell it for an even 11K (Cdn) without the wheels and tires pictured and the parts listed. I can put the (original-ish) rollers and tires i got with the car on it to move it.

PM here for info. Have lots ov pictures, but this site wont let me post 'em.

I also have a PILE ov lowdeck stuff i'm going to sell separately: nice 73 block, Street Dominator intake, MSD pro comp dist, Holley 800DP, new alum WP and housing, (oem) single groove pulleys, MP alum valve covers, thick gauge timing cover and oil pan, mini-starter, and tons ov new bearings, gaskets, brackets, bolt kits, assorted stuff... even got a spare 400 short block and 452 heads kicking around somewhere. If interested we could deal on all this stuff too.

sounds like a great car. IMO it would be a shame to it to a v8, not many /6 e-bodies left.

use http://photobucket.com/ to host your images, then copy the IMG links into your message for the pics to show. sites limit the file size due to server space that the site pays for (can get out of hand quick with LOTS of big file pictures). using photobucket (or a similar hosting service) means the images are stored on another server

I'm done joining /registering for new sites. I can link to another site with pics if need be.

And yeah, there was a guy who's wanted it for years, who restores 6cyl E-bodies, but he's kinda fallen off the map. Thats one reason why i never touched it, just in case i did end up selling it, i didn't want to be one ov those guys selling a full-size model kit. Kinda hypocritical for me to say, as i was going to V8 it and road race it, but it would be neat to see it done up stock.
