RV camera
« on: January 01, 2017 - 11:27:30 PM »
To all those that pull a travel trailer or 5th wheel, any recommendations on a back-up/observation camera?
I pull a 16' fishing boat behind my 5th wheel. It is invisible from the cab of my truck so I want to put a rear facing camera on the back of my trailer to keep an eye on the boat. Ideas?

Sounds like a good idea. I've added one to the back of my motor home. Great for backing up and we can keep an eye on the boat while driving, since we usually pack some thing in it as well.

Installation took some effort as I wanted all the wiring hidden and had some walls and bulkheads to go through. I also put it on a switch so I could turn it on and off independent up the tranmission position. The install instructions wanted the trigger wire hooked to the neutral safety switch to perform as solely a back up camera.
