Just WOW!  Not cheap, but like they said should last decades of use on the street, so you'll only need to buy one.   I'd be curious to see the difference in building a large hemi vs large wedge with the best heads, etc.  I know the valve train would cost more for the hemi,
maybe pistons, too?

for same hp, Hemi might cost 50% more

Nope: Once you try making a wedge run hard it isn't much cheaper than going Hemi to start with. Pistons may be a bit cheaper for a wedge, heads are within a few hundred dollars and Hemi heads don't need porting. Rocker gear is within a few hundred, everything else is the same. I'd say the difference is within $1000 when you are using non-stock parts.
