Welcome to the site. While I, personally, feel like $75,000 is a lot of cake, just do the math and you'll know if it's a good deal or not. If the car is 100% solid, with a 572 and all the attendant goodies, it might not be totally off the scale. There's lots of guys on here who have much more experience in these matters and I'll trust they give you further advice. Oh yeah, welcome to the site!

Welcome to the C-C forum.
Lived in Klamath Falls for 2 years. Dad was USAF stationed there when I was a kid. There was a Strategic Air Command squadron of F106 Interceptors.
Used to love seeing and hearing those jets.
I would not be looking for a clone Hemicuda if I had $75K budget for a car but that's just me.
You could spend more having one built, that's for sure. Less too depending on how much you can do yourself...
Sight unseen it's hard to place value on anything. For $75K it would need to have a shaker hood, the right colors, rubber bumpers, Air conditioned and near perfect. Not lacking in any way. If it's not all that I would pass and build one.

If the car is well done and has everything you want and you don't want to invest a year or 2 or 5 building one... It's only money. You could be driving it tomorrow!

Thanks for the advice. I have pictures but can't seem to get them posted using my phone. It has a shaker hood, no ac. That is the asking price I've been watching for a while and seems in line for what I want. I'm to busy to attempt restoring my self and I am a mechanic by trade (Logging machinery). But no time and I'm sure I would not get it done. supposed to talk to the broker tomorrow I'm torn on what to do. More dough than I want to spend, it's exactly what I want.

75k is not a bad price if its a quality build.  Meaning perfect paint and drivetrain. I built one doing most of the work myself and im over 75.

That said, to me, the engine would be my main concern.  Do your homework to make sure the engine is health.  It gets expensive to correct someone elses engine build.

Not to deter you but a  hemi isnt the best choice unless youve been in the hobby for awhile. Post pics and more details and good luck!

Find yourself an independent appraiser to visually inspect the car if you haven't already. Find a "mopar guy" if possible. $75K is not out of line for a quality build. :2cents:

I agree with everything said here.  Alan's advise about the appraiser is spot on.  I'd want to see photos of the build and receipts, especially for the engine.  As said, it needs to be prefect for the price.  I recently saw one sell on Mecum for exactly that price, $75K.  I've also seen them sell for less at auction.  It depends on the quality of the build.  It would definitely cost more than that to build if your paying a shop, if it's done correctly.

"usraptr" = United States raptor - bird of prey = United States Bald Eagle.  FYI, somebody else thought of it first so I had to drop the "O" in raptor.
