WANTED:   PIN-TYPE DISC BRAKE CALIPER BRACKETS FOR 11.75" UPGRADE.   These caliper brackets are required to fit ~72-70 pin-type calipers onto the larger 11.75" disc rotors (larger size upgrade).   They came on Cordobas, etc).   I need one pair (left/right),,,, possibly two pair if you have them.

PM requested.

T/Anks Goodys... If I can get a pair of the pin-ttpe caliper brackets, then I can use my existing pin-type calipers with the 11.75" upgrade.... I'll find them somewhere... not any hurry... favor to get this done by spring/early summer.

I'm not sure what ever the advantages are, if any, between the pin vs slider calipers.

Mitch, I'm surprised you don't already have some large brake option on your T/A...

I'd consider going with the C body rotor & caliper since it's 11.75 diameter & 1.25 thick.. That extra thickness might weight a little more but it also takes more heat without warpage....

1wildrt -- Actually, I've always felt that for my dominance in SCCA style pylon autocross events, which I used/raced through the late 70s-80s-90s and early 2000s, the factory brakes worked very well ... a preferred choice of pads were older style asbestos pads, sometimes no-metallic which would heat up quickly for the short sprints... they worked great!... eventually went to semi-metallic Wagner asbestos pads... also worked great!... still on the car.. and have one more old NEW set sitting aside... eventually will have to swap to the new non-asbestos pads (only choices!).

For the high-speed track HPDE/HSAX which I've been running the last few years, I can see that I  should have better/larger brakes... but... I'm choosing wisely as per various club/class rules... as well as I sdtill want to run my 15" minilight rims for street/hwy cruising, etc.

I did take about 10 years off from racing ~early 2000-2010... coming back now to be more active (time and $$ pending).   SO... I figure I'll do some upgrades now (car is all apart up front, engine bay redone, engine to be rebuilt, etc).

  :working: :money:

There was an up grade pin type kit available at one time.

The pins were shorter.

It eliminated the anti rattle clips and bail wire.
The kit required the use of disc brake pads with a slot on them in the middle.

That was because the brakes wouldn't squeal.

I still have it buried somewhere.
Gotta go dig it up and see what the P/N is.
