    Valves: assembled Indy heads

    Does anyone know what type of valves are installed in the Indy 440 EZ heads?  The package that comes with the springs and valves installed, valley pan, intake gasket, and push rods.  I really want to know what the top groove is; double, single, etc...  I appreciate your help.

    No hands on experience but every high performance application I've ever worked on had single groove keepers, multi groove keepers are designed to allow the valve to be captured but not locked by the keepers whereas single groove keepers actually clamp tightly on the valve stem....

    Correct you are. Thank you for the information. I learned something.  I always knew about the 7 and 10 deg locks (even though I am not sure of the advantage of the 10 deg other than the hardened steel).
    I was able to get a keeper out and it is single groove. Again, thanks!
