Tried to install a holly

I tried to install a Holly 750 on Sunday.
My stock 383 manifold hit the linkage. 
I have ordered a spacer from Summit, I hope it
will solve my problem. Has anyone else had this
problem? And will i have any other problems?
I have ordered a 1" spacer w/hardware.
Will I need any other parts?

Yes those problems do exist.    I put a Holley double pumper on my Edelbrock intake and had to do some "modifications". Let's just say I had some boring away to do at the intake manifold.    The only thing I worry about a spacer is if your hood will still close. It might be tight. Heck, I haven't seen your car yet, maybe I can see it this week if you can put up with me?

Do you have the thottle cable adapter? That makes the throttle cable install a lot easier, otherwise you will be cobbing up something.

Mike, come on over! I think there is plenty of room under there.

hemi71,It already has the cable adapter. I knew I would need that.
But will I have to change anything else?

normally you will have to change the coil mounting position , you will also need longer studs to bolt the carb down , with the stock intake you should have lots of hood clearance , you can use a 1/2 spacer & gain enough clearance as well if needed , check to make sure all the throttle plates open fully as you are bolting the carb on , sometimes there is interference

Thanks CP. I thought the coil woul need to be moved.
The spacer I ordered comes with gaskets and longer studs for mounting.
I will try to install again this weekend.
