Newbie here

Hey guys. I figured I've been looking around on this forum for long enough I might as well register. I'm a recent college grad in Manufacturing Engineering, and decided I wanted to try my hand at restoring an E-body. I'm currently working on restoring a 1971 Chevelle (I know, blasphemy around here), but decided that, being 6 foot 7, it wasn't the right fit for me
Hoping to learn as much as I can!

Welcome to the site from NY. I'm tall too (6'5"), so I know all too well the "joy" of finding a vehicle you can fit in comfortably.

Welcome. Where are you from? Do you have an E-body or are you still looking?

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. I am from the Southern Wisconsin area, but am currently looking for a full time engineering job, so the its up in the air on where I'll be in 6 months. I am still looking for an E-body, but the job and student bills come first. I'm guessing at least another year before I'll have the chance to afford one, but I'm hoping to have a lot more knowledge accumulated before then.

Welcome!! At 6'7" your gonna find an E body isn't really ideal either... I have a friend who's 6'6" that has made a few adjustments to his Challenger, the seat has custom brackets that move it back about 2" & he uses a six way seat that he tilts to improve head room..... It works.. But honestly he's owned a few B bodies & they are a better fit..... Good luck whatever you decide....
Oh and just cause I like them lets see your Chevelle...

Alrighty, I'll have to look more into B-bodies, then. Thanks for letting me know. My Chevelle needs a new paintjob, but she was driveable when I got her.
