Kids are off for spring break next week which means I'm off the entire week. Hoping to put some good time in on working on the 'Cuda but wanted everyone's opinion on how to approach this. I don't have a lift or many power tools but I will move the car into my bigger garage and get it up on 6-ton jack stands to help with rolling in and out of the bottom. I will be virtually alone in this adventure as all my friends will be working and won't have time to help.
Here's a short list of what needs to be done (in no particular order):
- Install the following
- Brake booster w/master cylinder
- RTV header studs
All the installation parts are new except the Brake Booster w/ master cylinder. There's some other things that need to be done but I know they can wait until after all this has been taken care of.
Couple of questions:
- Should I use RTV on all the header studs or just certain ones? What color RTV is the best for water/heat resistance?
- What would YOU tackle first and in what order?
And if you're in the Orlando, FL area and looking to turn wrenches, drop me a PM!
