New problemo
« on: April 01, 2017 - 08:38:04 PM »
Coming of line today, getting some studdering in acceleration.
Fuel pressure dropping from 5.5 psi to 4 psi.
Got home, and rubber fuel line nearest radiator was 190 degrees.
Must be getting vapor lock?  Will move and insulate fuel line.
72 Cuda, owned 25 years. 496, with ported Stage VI heads, .625 in solid roller, 254/258 at .050, 3500 stall, 3.91 rear. 850 Holley DP, Reverse manual valve body.

1999 Trans Am, LS1, heads, cam, headers, stall, etc! Love to surprise the rice rockets with this one. They seem so confident, then it's "what the heck just happened?"

I changed mine to steel braided with the DEI sleeving and that seemed to help.

Will keep in mind. Considering a major reroute at this time.

ok, moved line up against, and under, distributor, and put pipe insulation over it.
So its 6 inches further away from radiator heat.
Having a fuel gauge in the car was very helpful in determining why
engine seemed to be losing power.
